Moon landing of the Chang’e-6 probe: Chinese media speak of a “historic moment”



China is regaining control in the international race for the Moon. This Sunday, June 2, Beijing announced that its Chang’e-6 probe had successfully landed on the far side of our satellite, at the South Pole-Aitken basin. According to the South China Morning Post, the asian giant “will soon collect samples of minerals from the oldest lunar basin and bring them back to Earth”.

“This is the second time that China – and the world – has successfully landed on the far side of the satellite, a place that scientists believe could hold clues to many of the mysteries surrounding the Moon and the solar system.”, gets excited China Daily.
